110 Participants to Compete in C. Jakarta STQ

As many as 110 participants representative of 8 sub-districts will participate in Al Quran Recital Contest (STQ)  at Central Jakarta Administration level. It will be held on Monday (6/1) in Multipurpose Room of Central Jakarta Mayor office.

The STQ winner eventually will compete for city level

"The STQ winner eventually will compete for city level," said Head of Central Jakarta Education and Spiritual Mental Division(Dikmental), Zahrul Wildan Friday(5/29).

According to Wildan, the contest aims to find novice qori and qoriah, the best hafidz and hafidzah. Therefore he hoped the participants could prepare themselves as well as possible thus they can perform maximally.

Wildan explained, the contest categories are Al Quran recitations for kids, men-women groups, tahfidz Al Quran for 1 juz, 5 juz, 10 juz, 20 juz, and 30 juz men-women groups.

He stated, all the participants have been guided by Jakarta chief patron of Quran reading competition Institute(LPTQ). Eventually, the winner will get trophy and coaching money. While for the first winner and runner-up have a right representing Central Jakarta to participate in City level STQ.
